Step back in time at No.1 Royal Crescent - The UK’s No.1 Small Visitor Attraction (VisitEngland Awards 2025). This magnificently restored town-house museum and gallery has been decorated and furnished just as it might have been during the period 1776-1796. 

During your self-guided museum tour, you will meet a Georgian family spending the season in Bath! As you wander through the elegant rooms of their home, you’ll overhear snippets of daily life – from fashionable gossip to family dilemmas. Discover what it meant to live in Georgian Bath, explore the issues and intrigues of the day, and meet the hardworking servants who kept the household running behind the scenes.

Following your visit, or before if you prefer, wander down to No.16 Royal Crescent to enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea in Montagu's Mews, complete with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, seasonal pastries and a glass of Taittinger Champagne.
