Why The RCH?

We know just how special The RCH really is! To show you we have included below some wonderful feedback that we have received from previous guests so you can see exactly what they thought of their time with us.

Fantastic

We had a three night stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff were so polite and attentive to your requests. The Spa was small but relaxing. We didn’t have any treatments but enjoyed the Spa facilities on a couple of occasions. Our room was spacious and clean. The option of pillows was great as well. In fact a wonderful break with fantastic staff and superb food. It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in the UK. Some can be so pretentious but not Royal Crescent. It was luxurious and relaxing. Thank you it was just what we needed.

The Most Beautiful Mini-Moon!!

What a treat!! We chose to stay at the Royal Crescent for our mini moon very recently and it was perfect!! From the moment we arrived until departure the staff were so kind and attentive. We were welcomed to our room to find we had only been upgraded!! and received complementary champagne & chocolates!! Can't thank all the staff enough for making our mini moon so relaxing & special. Will definitely be coming back, everything from décor, food, Spa, cleanliness and service was 5* - would definitely recommend! The location of this hotel is truly wonderful too.

Thank You

My parents stayed as one of things my father wanted to do before he leaves us due to illness and you have all made him feel so welcome. He had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the service, food and room. Thank you once again for helping fulfil his wish.

One For The Bucket List

Several years ago a snooty waiter in Bath wouldn’t serve us coffee unless we bought lunch which we didn’t want. We walked out and went up the road to the Royal Crescent Hotel and were welcomed with open arms. We’ve been back several times since, graduating from coffee to lunch and now staying there. It’s been worth the wait. Mid week off peak (January is our favourite month for visiting Bath as much fewer tourists) they do a 2 nights for 1 deal on suites. The photos below are better than a thousand words - utterly magnificent, a perfect pied a terre from which to explore this wonderful city. Leaving the suite is a wrench - but persevere because the public areas and spa (nice sized pool) are also wonderful. To get the suite deal you need to dine one night in the Dower House restaurant. Not exactly a hardship - linger over an aperitif in the luxurious bar area before making a grand entrance into this lovely room. Food and wine are delicious. Service unrushed. Last but not least the staff are wonderful - attentive, courteous and friendly, in keeping with the ambience of this wonderful hotel. Bucket list items are usually only done once but I think sometimes you have to make exceptions!

Last Minute

We were due to fly to Athens for a four day break but our flight was cancelled when we were moments from the airport so instead of going home we looked online quickly and booked into the Royal Crescent Hotel. We simply couldn't have chosen better! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect; the hotel itself is beautiful in an amazing location, every single member of staff is friendly, polite, cheerful and go above and beyond to make guests feel special. Our room was delightful, complimentary coffee on a cold day and delicious home made biscuits very welcome. We felt like VIPs for every minute of our stay. Will definitely return.

Excellence in Luxury

I booked this hotel as a surprise weekend away for my girlfriend as a proposal weekend.

The moment I pulled up and the free valet parking made us feel so important. We stayed in a suite and it was beautiful. I do not have enough superlatives for this hotel. The service is exemplary and the building itself is magnificent!

It is expensive but worth every penny.

Perfect Christmas Retreat

Spent a fabulous night in this iconic hotel. When checking in we where asked to sit in the drawing room. This had a wonderful open fire and a very grand Christmas tree.
Our room was amazing with a very comfy bed. Had a fabulous nights sleep and the hotel was so quite. Breakfast was included in our room price and again this could not be faulted.
Before we left we made use of the spa. What a lovely place to spend s couple of hours relaxing. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Bath. It is only a 10 min walk in to the centre of town. All the staff are a credit to the hotel.

Wonderful Hotel with Incredible Service

We stayed for two nights in the Jane Austen room. This was a beautiful, tasteful bedroom with what felt like a very lovely conservatory room where we could sit, write and watch television (if we didn't want to watch television in the bedroom). It was spotless, comfortable and very well maintained.

We ate lunch in the bar, had dinner in the Dower House restaurant, afternoon tea and breakfasts over the course of our weekend and all of the food was beautifully presented, delicious and well served.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing felt like it was too much trouble for the staff. We would particularly like to mention the young lady serving lunch in the bar on Saturday, the young waiter who took us through our dinner on Saturday night but it is almost wrong to pick anyone out.

Even in miserable rain this was a wonderful stay and I cannot wait until we are back at the hotel.

Memorable Afternoon Tea for my Mum's Birthday

The afternoon tea, and the whole experience in general, was so wonderful that we have decided we must make this celebration an annual event. My mum is disabled and she doesn't get out much, so this was a real treat. The staff were very kind and the food was outstanding. The best afternoon tea of my life.

Georgian Grandeur...

The location of the hotel could not have been better, however our stay was particularly memorable by the staff, who without exception had a “can do” attitude and who went out of their way to make sure that we felt really valued. Recommended.

Perfect. As simple as that.

Every aspect of this stay, from planning, to discussing rooms, to checking out, was absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful, airy and full of light, the spa was wonderful, the staff were unfailingly attentive, polite and friendly, and there is a clear sense of commitment to the highest possible standards of care for the guests. The breakfast was also absolutely out of this world. This is a truly superb hotel by any standard, and we had an unforgettable stay.

Superb Afternoon Tea

We had a gift voucher for Afternoon Tea at the Crescent. Have been there before for a wedding reception so rather thought it would be special. Lovely selection of teas. Try the rooibos with orange and cream. Choice of either sweet or savoury treats. The bath buns with cinnamon butter were the highlight. Beautiful room and friendly service.

Worth Six Stars!

This hotel is faultless. You pay a great deal - but it is worth every penny. The Service is the key feature. Top class staff making you feel right at home with unobtrusive service. Restaurant food - breakfast and dinner- absolutely outstanding. Great location.

Had not stayed before, looking forward to going back!

A truly lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and just minutes from the city centre. The management team were second to none and this cascaded down to the rest of the team. The General Manager was even around at breakfast time ensuring that everything was running smoothly and that everyone was happy. The food was consistently excellent.

Room Tip: Garen or Royal Crescent View. The Garden is quiet and pretty but for the sense of history, a Crescent view room would be better.

We booked two rooms for our daughter's recent graduation and we were treated to 24-hours of impeccable service. The hotel made every effort to accommodate our needs (It is worth communicating clearly in advance if you have any special requests or questions) and we had two lovely rooms. For sure, the bathroom in our room, shower only as requested was on the small side but you need to remember that these period properties were never built with bathrooms in mind. plus having the only room in the entire crescent with a 1st floor arched window more than made up for this. The view was spectacular.

Drinks and breakfast in the garden is a real pleasure, a haven from the world outside. We had a really good evening meal at The Dower House Restaurant as well.

The Spa is simple and tastefully done, it has one of the nicest pools I have ever used. Vitality Pool, Steam and Sauna also in the same area. All inclusive for guests.

Overall, however, it was the helpfulness an friendliness of the staff that made the difference. From a warm welcome, effortless check-in and knowledgeable restaurant team, the whole visit was made by their positive, friendly but not overly obsequious attitude. Even the Gardner was congratulating my daughter on her degree.

Only issue? We didn't want to leave

We came to relax in Bath. Never expected to spend so much time at the hotel. Room was large with an amazingly comfortable king size bed. Food, drink, staff, and gardens all wonderful. You think it’s only the front on the Crescent but it opens up to an oasis. Martin, at the front, was amazingly helpful.

"Just returned home from an absolutely amazing time at this Gem of a Hotel. The Staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us, and our suite was spotless and luxurious. We also dined at The Dower House Restaurant was a lovely experience"

- May 2018

"All the staff we encountered during our stay made a good weekend great, nothing was too much trouble. The depth of knowledge regarding some of the drinks I bought was really phenomenal, the local knowledge imparted to me was fantastic as was the guy who tuned the television set so that we could watch the rugby! Thank you all once again."
