Why The RCH?

Although we know just how special our hotel really is, below is some feedback from previous guests so you can see exactly what they thought of their time with us.

We came to relax in Bath. Never expected to spend so much time at the hotel. Room was large with amazingly comfortable king size bed. Food, drink, staff, and gardens all wonderful. You think it’s only the front on the Crescent but it opens up to an oasis. Martin, at the front was amazingly helpful.

"Every now and then (and not too often) it seems all the stars align and you know you are experiencing one of your life’s best travel experiences. We were not planning to stay at the Royal Crescent, but as a result of some very unusual weather, as our train from Brighton had us disembark in Bath, we found ourselves at the main train station unable to get a taxi or hire a rental car. I remember hearing how the Royal Crescent it legendary for going the extra mile to take care of their guests! Truer words have never been spoken. Minutes after calling them, the hotel management sent a car to collect us and we were soon welcomed into this gorgeous facility and exclaiming how cold we were, we were seated in front of a glorious fireplace and hot soups and sandwiches were brought in for us. The rest of our visit was just one amazing thing after another. Magnificent Suites made you feel this was your home located in the Royal Crescent! This was one of the BEST 3 Hotel experiences of my many years of travel! Treat yourself to something special, book a suite here! It is THAT good!"

"We very much enjoyed meeting Jonathan R Stapleton, the general manager. We were just having lunch and he took the time to come over and chat with us about the history of the hotel and the changes that have been made in the spa and with the wedding facilities. He took the time to answer our questions and made our fabulous stay even more enjoyable. Jonathan also introduced us to the lovely Isobel Heather, special events manager who we very much enjoyed meeting too. We enjoyed their company so much they made us feel a part of the wonderful family at the Crescent Hotel. We left the hotel with a real spring in our step. Longing to come back!"

 "We booked a room for one night here and ended up staying an extra night because we didn’t want to leave. This exquisite hotel was everything we’d hoped for and more. Because we decided to stay a second night with no advance notice we had to change rooms for the second night. This ended up being a delight, since we got to enjoy a gorgeous room overlooking the gardens on the first night and a stunning room overlooking the Royal Crescent on our second night. All the staff were lovely, professional and incredibly helpful. Samantha facilitated our second night’s stay with grace and was very helpful with coordinating our luggage transfer, etc. This perfect hotel exemplifies why it’s worth splurging to stay in an establishment that has earned the Relais & Chateaux+ rating. The spa was gorgeous and very relaxing after five days in London! We spent half and hour with the sommelier discussing the benefits of both French Chablis and California syrah. This hotel was an unexpected gift and a true high point of a two week trip through the UK."
