Our All-New Afternoon Tea Menu

It's High-Time for Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea has got to be the luxurious past-time that’s not going out of fashion. And here in Bath, a city known the world over for its Roman baths, hot springs and the River Avon, is the perfect place to indulge.

Historic Bath is a city of heritage, with a cosmopolitan feel. Here at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, we’ve updated our Afternoon Tea menu to marry this quintessential English tradition with the contemporary, injecting little flairs of character in the new menu for a really unique experience.

Georgian splendour meets culinary innovation in our new Afternoon Tea menus, in much the same way that our five-star hotel unites Old World Heritage with New World Luxury.

The new menu celebrates our hotel’s rich history, taking inspiration from famous guests and inhabitants of The Royal Crescent, such as The Duke of York and Elizabeth Montagu who feature in our Duke of York Afternoon Tea and Elizabeth Montague Afternoon Tea choices respectively, from £34 per person. Add a glass of fizzy and savour them for £42.

In fact, any Afternoon Tea of your choice can be injected with some sparkle with a flute of something fizzy. Three glasses of Champagne Brut-Rose-Sec can be included for just £55 per person.

In the meantime, you can savour freshly baked scones and Bath buns, hand-cut finger sandwiches in an array of flavours and delicate cakes and pastries finished to perfection. Awaken the senses with our range of Ronnefeldt teas, which boasts some of the finest teas from the most famous tea growing areas in the world.

Our Children’s Royal Afternoon Tea for ages 3-11 let the little ones join in on the fun. A children’s tea party of tasty sandwiches, miniature scones with Devon clotted cream and strawberry jam and takeaway tuck shop sweets to take home will keep kids of all ages, and parents, very happy.

The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa’s quiet spot on the city’s famous Royal Crescent is close enough to the city centre for seeing the sights or exploring the winding cobbled streets lined with boutique shops while offering a little haven for an Afternoon Tea experience. Why not drop into the Spa and make a day of it, or stay on for the night in one of our luxurious suites and rooms.

We reckon it’s high time for Afternoon Tea, and we’re really excited about our new menu.
