To confirm a Reservation
Call the hotel direct to talk through your requirements with a member of the team or alternative Book Online

Change Reservations
Requests to amend a hotel reservation can be made through the hotel Reservations team between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Outside of these hours; the hotel Receptionist will be able to help with your request.  Please note that reservations made through a third party (example- Booking.com or Expedia) will need to be cancelled or amended directly with the third party. Please be sure to check our cancellation policies before you change or cancel a reservation.

How do I make a group reservation?
Reservations for 8 guests or more are classed as a group booking. To discuss your individual group requirements, please contact the Special Events department on: 01225 823318 / 01225 823320 or e-mail [email protected]. Group terms and conditions will apply to all group reservations.

Can I make a reservation without a credit card?
A valid credit card is needed to guarantee your reservation. All reservations made without a valid credit card will not be guaranteed and your reservation may be released. For individual reservations (a non-group booking), your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival however we will check the card’s validity 24 hours prior to your date of arrival by taking an approval for the first night (room charge + taxes). Full payment is required on departure.

Cancellation Policy
Your reservation can be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to your date of arrival unless otherwise stipulated in the terms and conditions of your booking.  Cancellation after this time will result in a charge for the first night’s stay.

Wi-Fi
We have full Wi-Fi access in all areas of the hotel.

Credit Cards
A credit or debit card is required to guarantee your reservation we accept the following: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, JCB

Check in & Check out time
We guarantee our rooms to be ready from 3pm. However you are more than welcome to arrive earlier and you can start using our facilities from when you arrive. The check out time is 12pm and we would be more than happy to store your luggage for you should you wish to carry on using our facilities or make the most of the day in town. Late check outs can be arranged on the day with reception subject to availability and a supplement would apply for this.

Air Conditioning
All of our rooms have air conditioning

Safe
All of our rooms are equipped with electronic laptop safes

Smoking Policy
The hotel has a no smoking policy in all bedrooms and public areas.  Smoking is allowed in the garden.

Connecting Rooms
Interconnecting rooms are available.  Please speak to our reservations department who will be happy to discuss your requirements

Toiletries
All rooms have Penhaligon’s toiletries in the bathrooms consisting Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Lotion

VAT Policy
All rates are inclusive of 20% VAT

Disabled
Due to the nature of the building (Grade I Listed), our hotel bedrooms are not fully equipped for disabled travellers however to discuss your individual requirements in further detail; please contact the hotel reservations team.

Extra bed policy
Extra rollaway beds are available for children under the age of 12 years. Please advise the hotel on booking should you require an additional bed. Additional beds can be accommodated in our Deluxe room categories or above. The maximum capacity of extra beds in any room is 2.  A charge of £30 per bed will be added to your room account inclusive of VAT. Breakfast is not included in the extra bed charge.

Cot policy
Travel Cots and bedding for babies are available at no additional charge.  Please advise the hotel on booking should you require a cot to be in your room. The maximum capacity of cots in any room is 1-2 dependants on the size of the bedroom.

DVD players
DVD players are not provided in the bedrooms. If you would like a DVD player in your room, one can be provided at no additional charge. Please contact the hotel reception for further information.  A selection of DVD’s is also available on request.

Flowers, Chocolates and Gifts
For any in-room requests such as flowers, chocolates or gifts, please speak with the hotel reservations team on 01225 823333 who will be able to talk through your requests and make any necessary arrangements.
We offer the ‘Royal Welcome Package’ which includes a bouquet of seasonal flowers, a bottle of Champagne and a box of luxury chocolates.  This package costs £90.00.

Room Service
Room Service is available 24 hours a day.
Our Breakfast Menu is available in your room. You will find an order form in your room which we would ask you to complete and leave out the night before along with your preferred time and your breakfast will be delivered to your room.
Our All Day Dining Menu is available as room service from 10am – 10pm.
Afternoon Tea can be served to your room between 3pm and 5pm
After 10pm there is a reduced room service menu available.
Tea and Coffee is available as room Service 24 Hours a day.

Ironing facilities
Irons & Ironing Boards are available on request.

Dress code
Smart casual attire (no denim or trainers) is required to be worn in The Dower House restaurant for dinner. A more relaxed approach is accepted for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea bookings.

Children policy
The Royal Crescent is a child friendly hotel. Children of all ages are welcome.  Please do note the age restriction in the Spa. Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted to use the Spa facilities.

Children in the Spa
Guests over 12-years-old are welcome to use the spa. Children under 16 years are allowed to use the pool only when accompanied by an adult. Thirty-minute facials and nail treatments are available to children over 12 years and under 16 only when accompanied by an adult.

Children in the restaurant
Whilst children are welcome in the restaurant we do request an adult atmosphere to be maintained. Our alternative all day dining menu for children is available in our Montagu Bar.

Babysitting
We will endeavour to fulfill all babysitter requests however please try to provide 72 hours notice for your requests to avoid disappointment. We use an external agency that is paediatric first aid trained, CRB checked and have a wealth of experience.  Payment is required by cash to the sitter direct. Babysitters must remain in the room with the child at all times to ensure they can attend to the child when necessary.

Hours of Spa
The Spa is open:
Monday to Friday 7.00am until 9.00pm
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 8.00am until 8.00pm
Treatments are available from 9.00am until 7.00pm

Late check out
Check-out of your room is required at 12noon unless a late check-out has been agreed through the hotel reception. An additional charge will be added to your room account. Please note that late check-outs cannot be guaranteed and are subject to room availability on the day.

Transfers from airport / chauffeur etc.
Our hotel Concierge is available to assist with all transfer requests. A personalised Chauffeur transfer service is available for transfers, tours and visits to places of interest. Please contact the hotel Concierge for further information.

Luggage storage
Luggage storage for resident hotel guests is available at the hotel through the Concierge. Each item of luggage will be tagged with a luggage identification tag and may only be retrieved by the bearer of the tag.  This service is available at no additional charge.

What do I do if I have left an item?
Items left behind can be returned to you by post. The cost of postage will be charged to your card.

Hotel Cats
The hotel has two hotel cats, Tilly and Toby.  The cats can often be seen in the hotel gardens and they do like attention and posing for photographs!

Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Services
We are able to arrange pet sitting and dog walking during your stay with us.  Please contact the hotel team on 01225 823333 to discuss your requirements

Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm – 5pm daily.
Guests are served a selection of Finger Sandwiches, Sweet Pastries, Bath Buns, Freshly Baked Scones Jam and Clotted Cream along with a selection of teas or coffee.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Lounges, Dower House Restaurant and Ante Room.
Champagne Afternoon Tea is also available with, in addition to the Afternoon Tea, a glass of Champagne.
Cream Tea is served Monday to Friday from 3pm until 5pm.
Full Afternoon Tea is £25 per person
Full Afternoon Tea with a Glass of Champagne is £35 per person
Cream Tea is also available at £14.50 per person

Can I use your Spa if I am not staying at your hotel?
We offer Spa Day Passes at £35 per person giving you access to the spa facilities, for up to 4 Hours.
The facilities include: 12-metre relaxation heated pool, Hot and tepid tubs, Sauna, Steam Room, Hammam and Gymnasium.  Please note that availability for day passes is limited and may not always be available.
Additionally we offer a variety of day retreats in the Spa. All our Retreats include full use of the spa facilities, bathrobes, towels, flip flops and complimentary herbal tea.

Can I dine with you if I am not staying at your hotel?
We welcome Non Resident diners in the Dower House Restaurant for both Lunch and Dinner. Bookings can be made by telephoning the Hotel Directly on 01225 823 333

If you would like to join us for morning Coffee, a light lunch or snack from our All Day Dining menu booking is not necessary but we would advise calling in advance to check availability.

Tea Coffee making
Tea & Coffee making facilities are not provided in the room. Tea and Coffee can be delivered to your room 24 Hours a day. If you would like a Hospitality tray in the room one can be requested at the time of booking or at any point during your stay.

Sky in rooms facilities
We offer a full range of Free View Channels in our bedrooms, along with Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2

Pets
We accept pets at the hotel and we even have two hotel cats Tilly & Toby. Dogs are allowed in all areas of the hotel apart from The Spa, Restaurant and Montagu bar.

Car Parking
We offer complimentary valet parking to our resident guests. Just drive up to the front of the hotel and our concierge will take of car and luggage for you.
Unfortunately due to space limitations we are unable to valet park cars if you are not staying with us. We would recommend Charlotte Street car park as our nearest NCP Car Park.

Distance to Town
We are about a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre. If you would like us to arrange taxis please speak to our concierge who would be happy to arrange this for you.

Lift Access
The main mansion house has lift access to all floors.  The other four buildings that make up The Royal Crescent Hotel do not have lift access however we do have some rooms on the ground floor.
